Wow, the image of that venue where their hands up “to God” is powerful and speaks a thousand words in itself. Thank you for capturing this dark reality of what is happening to people in real time.

I appreciate what you said about what we can do to fight back. We cannot be scared to fight for democracy, and remember these people are extremely weak to begin with and fascism can be defeated as it has been done before.

Thank you. The draft as I published this, without including photos, is about 10 or 11 pages. Because it got so long it risked not being delivered by email, I had to trim out a couple pages where I attempted to describe the feeling of being in the room.

I think that when I get a chance, I'll work through my bodycam footage to see if I can grab clips that help show the intensity of the crowd. I found the feeling of being there really difficult to put into words.

I fear Trump will try and recreate parallels to the Nazi era. The Madison Square Garden rally was a direct nod to the one held by American Nazis just a few years before WWII. How long before the banning of books becomes the burning of books mirroring what happened in the 1930’s.

Is the ‘new’ FBI under Patel going to be a mirror of the Nazi’s Gestapo.

How long before it thinks a Trump Youth would be a good idea. And so on….

Patel absolutely is focused on brainwashing youth--hence his children's books promoting the stolen election lie. But thankfully, I don't see any mechanism that he could use to indoctrinate children. Yes, there's the Regan-inspired DARE model, of sending local police into schools to indoctrinate kids about drugs... but I don't see a gutted FBI able to adopt something as ambitious as that.

DARE was notoriously unsuccessful in warning kids away from drugs. Most of my peers saw it as a joke; some had their interest piqued.

The indoctrination methodology to watch out for now will be Elon Musk's AI propaganda bots, once they get some kinks worked out.

Trump Part 2 - The Final Act

President Donald Trump’s second administration continues to exhibit governance strategies that resonate with the ideological frameworks of QAnon, Project 2025, and historical fascist methodologies, notably those employed by Adolf Hitler. A significant development in this context is President Trump’s alignment with influential billionaires, particularly Elon Musk, whose recent actions have intensified concerns regarding the administration’s trajectory and its potential to incite asymmetrical civil unrest within the United States.

Elon Musk’s Controversial Gestures and Endorsements

Elon Musk, serving as a prominent advisor to President Trump, has recently engaged in actions that have drawn widespread condemnation for their apparent alignment with extremist ideologies. During President Trump’s inauguration in January 2025, Musk executed a gesture that closely resembled a Nazi salute, sparking outrage across Europe and within the United States. While Musk dismissed the allegations, characterizing the gesture as an “awkward moment of enthusiasm,” the incident has been celebrated by neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups, who interpret it as validation of their beliefs.

Further exacerbating concerns, Musk has publicly endorsed Germany’s far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party, urging Germans to “overcome past guilt” associated with Nazi crimes. This endorsement aligns with the Trump administration’s broader support for ultranationalist movements in Europe, reflecting a transnational propagation of extremist ideologies.

Implications for Domestic Stability

The convergence of President Trump’s policies with the actions and endorsements of influential figures like Elon Musk signifies a troubling normalization of extremist ideologies within the highest echelons of power. This alignment not only undermines democratic institutions but also fosters societal divisions, creating fertile ground for asymmetrical civil unrest. Historical precedents demonstrate that the mainstreaming of extremist beliefs, coupled with the erosion of social welfare promises and the marginalization of dissenting voices, can precipitate internal conflicts characterized by irregular, decentralized factions engaging in prolonged strife.

In conclusion, the Trump administration’s collaboration with influential figures espousing extremist ideologies, exemplified by Elon Musk’s recent actions, amplifies the potential for internal discord and challenges the foundational principles of democracy and social cohesion within the United States.

Hi, good read. I wonder if you have thoughts about whether phone spying apps like Pegasus are legal under someone like Patel… is this codified in the law somewhere or can he weaponize emergency declarations and instructions to investigate media and journalists as a way to put Pegasus on journalists phones…? Is this a gray area? Sometimes innocents or unrelated people get swept up in the Pegasus installation… like children of the folks surveilled…

Anecdotally a while ago, I was certain my kids phone was being tracked.. I went to the police, the locals and state and then finally the feds… I had to provide some proof… didn’t have enough to push it from 6 mos and we will get to it, so I started searching myself… turns out… if you have “do not send to Apple” checked on data for your phone it stays in queue on your phone… it can be looked at on a computer screen as well… I had to do line by line and spend tens of hours searching… but did come across the related threads “Pegasusmobileobliteration” command. Screenshots sent off and such… turns out that if the phone is turned off for 30 days or more, when the phone is turned on again, Pegasus launches this command to erase its former tracks… and it keeps the phone from actually turning off again until it is completed…

Wondering if nowadays a simple control F for obliteration would have worked…?

Point is, even though I had proof that a minor was being tracked by an. Unknown threat. Across state lines… no one in law enforcement would help to investigate whether Pegasus was in private hands or if the kid was swept up in a Pegasus thing because someone knew someone who was a journalist being investigated…. Living in fear of someone trying to traffic this kid… for a long time.

Is any of this something you have heard of before?

So wondering

Donald Trump has fired chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff CQ Brown, a part of his plan to rid the military of so-called 'woke generals.' Brown, a retired Air Force general appointed by Joe Biden, was sacked Friday night as part of a campaign to rid the military of leaders who support diversity and equity in the ranks.
